I'm Eleanor, a food historian soon to publish my first book on the history of food waste - asking how we've preserved food, used up leftovers, and disposed of the waste that we have created!

My other area of expertise is food and religion in the early modern period - I have a PhD from Cambridge Uni, and I'm currently a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at Cardiff Uni in Wales. I am writing a book entitled The Reformation of Food, which explores these themes from the perspective of Catholic Italy and Protestant England.
